Promoting Agriculture for Good Health

Farmosa Farms promotes agriculture for good health within all communities; encouraging individuals to take responsibility for their health through intelligent choices regarding food and food stuffs.

As public interest in natural and organic foods, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), land use, water safety, and sustainable living increases, so does the need for agricultural knowledge.

Whether we are shopping, eating, working or voting, we make vital decisions everyday that affect the health of our family and friends. Our goal at the farm is to bring forth the resources you need in order to make these decisions intelligently.

Let us be smart and make the right choices for our health. Join me, Caroline Craven, and help us make smart decisions!

Farmosa Farms promotes agriculture for good health within all communities; encouraging individuals to take responsibility for their health through intelligent choices regarding food and food stuffs.

Located in Southern California, at the base of the San Gabriel mountains, the Farm started out as a cathartic escape from the corporate world when FarmGirl's health took a one-eighty. After 15 years of marketing, advertising and executive management FarmGirl started this "online farm" - a project which began as a journal entry in 1987 while studying Agribusiness at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA, USA, and continued during her healing process from MS.

Farmosa Farms was originally a working farm established in Garden City, MO, by FarmGirl's great-grandfather (W.C. Farmer) in 1922. In 2002 it was resurrected as a nonprofit corporation.

A few of our current projects include:

Nutrition Education Presentations

Promoting AgDay 2007 with local elementary schools

Promoting grass-roots activities with our What's in your milk? campaign

Developing partnerships to promote MetroFarms and the more

Farmosa Farms is an educational, tax-exempt 501(c) 3, California non-profit corporation founded in 2002.

The Farm provides a free education resource for families about the relationship between agriculture and good health, made possible by donations and charitable partnerships between community and business.

You are invited to participate in the Farm, from lesson plans to links, from articles to appetizers; the Farm is successful because of you!
