Wal-Mart goes organic.
Organic Food Industry on the
boom again –
Although Whole Foods (WFMI) stock has
settled a bit, the pattern for the organic food industry is growing in the
producer end. With distributors like Wal-Mart (WMT) able to carry brands like
Hansen’s (HANS) Natural Energy drink, there’s not wonder that other
companies can see some great numbers. Some companies are getting it – like Del
Monte who is already offering organic tomato products in local main-stream
grocery stores. The more the consumers demands organic, nutrition-rich foods,
the more producers will be able to cost-effectively run their operations. And,
with massive distribution channels Wal-Mart (WMT) is another company that is
taking a step in the right direction. Kudos!
